EMRS Recruitment 2023  : Eklavya Modal Residential Schools Staff Selection Exam (ESSE) 2023 notification announced for the Teaching & Non-Teaching Posts in various disciplines for Eklavya Model Residential Schools (EMRSs) across the country. There are 4,062 vacancies available for the posts. Candidates with the qualification of M.E/M.Tech/M.A/M.Sc/M.Com/B.Ed/B.Com/10th/12th pass/MCA are eligible to apply. About EMRS: The Ministry was set up in 1999 after the bifurcation of the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment with the objective of providing a more focused approach towards the integrated socio-economic development of the Scheduled Tribes (the most underprivileged section of the Indian Society) in a coordinated and planned manner. Before the formation of the Ministry, tribal affairs were handled by different Ministries at different points in time. The Ministry of Tribal Affairs is the Nodal Ministry for overall policy planning and coordination of programs for the development of STs. To this end, the Ministry has undertaken activities that follow under the subjects allocated in the Government of India (Allocation of Business) Rules, 1961.

Detailed Eligibility:

Educational Qualification: 

Principal:

• Master’s Degree from a recognized University/Institute.
• B.Ed. degree
• Experience: Persons having 12 years of combined experience as Vice Principal/PGT/TGT with a minimum of 4 years as PGT and above.
• Desirable: Experience working in a fully residential school.
• Proficiency in English, Hindi, and Regional languages.
• Working knowledge of computers.

PGT:

• Post Graduate degree from any recognized University/Institute deemed as University in English/Hindi/Physics/Chemistry/Maths/Biology/History/Geography/Commerce/Economics/Regional Language.
• Candidates possessing a Master’s Degree with specialization in the subject (s) as mentioned above will only be considered eligible.
• B.Ed. Degree. (In case of integrated 4 years degree course, B. Ed. is not required.

PGT (Computer Science):

• M.Sc. (Computer Science/IT) MCA from a recognized University/Institute. OR
• M.E. Or M. Tech. (Computer Science/IT) from a recognized University/Institute.

Accountant: Degree of Commerce from a recognized University/Institute.

Junior Secretariat Assistant (JSA): Senior Secondary (Class XII) certificate from a recognized Board and possessing a minimum speed of 35 words per minute in English typing or 30 words per minute in Hindi typing.

Lab Attendant:

• 10th Class Pass with a certificate/diploma in Laboratory technique. OR
• 12th Class with science stream from a recognized board/university.

Age Limit:

• Principal: 50 years
• PGT: 40 years
• PGT (Computer Science): 40 years
• Accountant: 30 years 
• Junior Secretariat Assistant (JSA): 30 years
• Lab Attendant: 30 years

Age Relaxation:  

• Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe: 5 years
• Other Backward Classes (NCL): 3 years
• Candidates with 3 years continuous service in Central Govt. provided the posts are in the same or allied cadres: 5 years
• Persons ordinarily domiciled in the UT of Jammu & Kashmir from 01.01.1980 to 31.12.1989: 5 years
• Women (All Category) only if applying for PGTs posts: 10 years
• Persons with disabilities (including women): 10 – 15 years
• For other than permanent employees working in EMRS as of 01/01/2023: 55 years
• EMRS employees – who are appointed on regular pay scales for EMRS: 55 years

Salary:

• Principal: Rs 78,800 – 2,09,200/-
• PGT: Rs 47,600 – 1,51,100/-
• Accountant: Rs 35,400 – 1,12,400/-
• Junior Secretariat Assistant (JSA): Rs 19,900 – 63,200/–
• Lab Attendant: Rs 18,000 – 56,900/-

Selection Process:

• EMRS Staff Selection Exam (ESSE-2023) will be conducted in “OMR Based (Pen-Paper)” mode.
• The medium of Examination will be both in Hindi and English.
• Further, for the post of PGT (Third Language), the medium of test for Part-V (Domain Knowledge) will be in a concerned third language.
• The scheme of Examination of each post is explained in the advertisement ( Check Advertisement ).

Application Fees:

• Principal: Rs. 2000/-
• PGT: Rs. 1500/-
• Non-teaching Staff: Rs. 1000/-
• No fee is required to be paid by candidates belonging to SC/ST/PwBD categories.
