ISRO LPSC Vacancy Notification 2024 : The Liquid Propulsion Systems Centre (LPSC) a research and development centre functioning under the Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO), has announced notification for Technical Assistant/Technician ‘B’/Heavy Vehicle Driver ‘A’/ Light Vehicle Driver ‘A’/Cook posts. There are 30 vacancies available for ISRO Jobs. Candidates with 10th/Diploma/ITI/NTC/NAC qualifications can apply for ISRO Careers. ISRO Liquid Propulsion Systems Centre (LPSC) invites applications from eligible candidates for the Technical Assistant/Technician ‘B’/Heavy Vehicle Driver ‘A’/ Light Vehicle Driver ‘A’/Cook posts. Educational Qualification:

Technical Assistant: 

• Three-year Diploma in relevant disciplines.

• Must possess an HVD licence and Public Service Badge, if statutory.

Post NO: 782 – Light Vehicle Driver ‘A’:

• Pass in SSLC/ SSC/Matric/ 10th Std.
• 3 years experience as a Light Vehicle Driver.

Post NO: 783 – Cook:

• SSLC/SSC pass
• 5 years experience in a similar capacity (as Cook) in a well established Hotel/Canteen

Age Limit (As on 10 September 2024): 18 to 35 years

Age Relaxation: 5 years in the case of SC/ST candidates and 3 years for OBC candidates

Selection Process for ISRO LPSC Careers:

• The Selection process consists of a Written test & Skill test

For Post No: 773 – 780:

Written Test:

• The written test of 90 minutes duration will be conducted with 80 multiple choice questions carrying one mark for each correct answer.
• There will be a negative marking of 0.33 marks for each wrong answer

Pass criteria for the written test and skill test:

For Post No: 781 & 782:

Written Test:

• The written test of 120 minutes duration will be conducted with 100 objective-type questions carrying one mark for each correct answer.
• There will be a negative marking of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer.
• Those who secure a minimum of 50% marks in Part A and a minimum of 50% marks in Part B, Part C and Part D combined in the written test will be eligible for consideration for short listing for the skill test.

For Post No: 783:

Written Test:

• The written test of 120 minutes duration will be conducted with 80 objective-type questions carrying one mark for each correct answer.
• There will be a negative marking of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer.
• The Written test will be conducted in such a way to test the theoretical and practical knowledge of the candidate in cooking, equipment used in kitchens, General Knowledge, General English and Arithmetic (SSLC/Matriculation level).

Skill Test:

• Based on the performance in the written test, candidates will be shortlisted for the skill test in a 1:5 ratio with a minimum of 10 candidates.
• The skill test will be purely on a ‘go-no-go’ basis and marks obtained in the skill test will not be considered for selection.
• The final selection will be done amongst qualified candidates, purely based on the scores obtained in the written test.
• From amongst candidates who qualify for the skill test, the select panel will be drawn in the order of marks obtained in the written test
• In case of a tie in the written test scores, the academic scores of the notified qualification will be the tie-breaker.

Notes:

• The Written Test and Skill Test will be conducted at suitable venues in Thiruvananthapuram (Kerala) only.
• Intimations to eligible candidates for Written Tests, Skill Tests etc. will be sent through e-mail/LPSC website only.
• Candidates will have to produce original documents for verification as proof of the details furnished in their application at the time of the Skill Test.

Application Fee:

• Initially, all applicants have to uniformly pay Rs. 750/-  as an application fee.
• Candidates belonging to fee-exempted categories (Female/SC/ST/PWBD/Ex-Servicemen) will be refunded the full fee
• Other candidates will be refunded Rs. 500/- after retaining the application fee of Rs. 250/-.

Mode of payment:

• Payment can be made online
• Refunds will be made through online only to those candidates who appear for the written test and the candidates should provide their Bank account details such as Name, Account No., IFSC Code, etc. while submitting an online application.
