Cochin Shipyard Recruitment 2024 for Apprentice – Rigger Trainee

Cochin Shipyard Recruitment 2024: Cochin Shipyard Limited (CSL) announced a notification for Apprentice posts. Candidates with 8th qualifications are eligible for CSL Jobs. There are 20 openings for CSL Recruitment. Interested and eligible candidates can apply online for CSL Careers before the last date (30 March 2024). The detailed eligibility and selection process are explained below;

Detailed Eligibility – CSL Careers

Educational Qualification:

Apprentice:

• Rigger Trainee: Pass in VIII Std.

Note: Graduates or Diploma holders or persons having such other higher qualifications are not eligible

Period of training: The period of training shall be for two years. Depending upon organisational requirements, availability of vacancies and individual performance, successful candidates may be considered for appointment on contract basis, at the discretion of CSL.

Age Limit (As on 30 March 2024):

• Minimum 18 years and shall not exceed 20 years

Stipend for CSL Recruitment: 

No of vacancies: 20 Posts

• UR – 15 Posts
• OBC – 01 Post
• SC – 02 Posts
• EWS – 2 Posts

Selection Process of CSL Careers:

• The method of selection shall be based on Physical Test for 100 Marks.
• Candidates who are meeting notified eligibility requirements shall be shortlisted for Physical Test
• The candidate should produce the original certificates during certificate verification along with self-attested copies in proof of identity, age, educational qualification and certificates for reservation categories (SC/ST/OBC/EWS)
• CSL shall call sufficient number of candidates for verification of certificates in the order of merit, so as to get candidates in the minimum ratio of 6 candidates against one seat for the Physical test
• The candidates shall produce all required certificates in original along with self-attested copies at the time of Certificate Verification failing which they shall not be considered for shortlisting to attend Physical test.
• Only those candidates who successfully complete the certificate verification shall be shortlisted to attend the Physical test.
• The minimum pass mark for Physical test shall be as below:- For unreserved posts & for EWS candidates– 50 marks For OBC Candidates – 45 marks, For SC Candidates– 40 marks
• Schedule of the selection shall be intimated to the short-listed applicants through Email/CSL website
