Educational Qualification

Project Officer (Mechanical):

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering with 60% marks from a recognized University.
• Essential: Minimum of two years post-qualification experience in a Ship Building Company or Ship Repair Company or Marine related Companies or Port or Engineering Company or Government Company or Establishment or Semi-Government Company or Establishment.
• Desirable: Proficiency and experience working in a computerized environment.

Project Officer (Electrical):

• Degree in Electrical Engineering with 60% marks from a recognized University.
• Essential: Minimum of two years post-qualification experience in a Ship Building Company or Ship Repair Company or Marine related Companies or Port or Engineering Company or Government Company or Establishment or Semi-Government Company or Establishment.
• Desirable: Proficiency and experience working in a computerized environment.

Project Officer (Electronics):

• Degree in Electronics/Electronics & Communication / Electronics & Instrumentation Engineering with 60% marks from a recognized University.
• Essential: Minimum of two years post qualification experience in a Ship Building Company or Ship Repair Company or Marine related Company or Port or Engineering Company or Government Company or Establishment  or Semi Government Company or Establishment.
• Desirable: Proficiency and experience of working in a computerized environment.

Project Officer (Civil):

• Degree in Civil Engineering with 60% marks from a recognized University.
• Essential: Minimum of two years post qualification experience in a Shipyard or  Port or  Engineering Company or  Civil Construction Company or  Infrastructure Development Company or  Government Company or Establishment or Semi Government Company or Establishment
• Desirable: Proficiency and experience working in a computerized environment.

Project Officer (Instrumentation):

• Degree in Instrumentation Engineering with 60% marks from a recognized University.
• Essential: Minimum of two years post-qualification experience in a Ship Building Company or Ship Repair Company or Marine related Companies or Port or Engineering Company or Government Company or Establishment or Semi-Government Company or Establishment.
• Desirable: Proficiency and experience working in a computerized environment.

Project Officer (Information Technology):

• Engineering Degree in Computer Science/ Information Technology or Masters Degree in Computer Science/ Computer Application/ Information Technology with 60% marks from a recognized University.
• Minimum of two years post qualification experience in a Shipyard or Port or Engineering Company or Government Undertaking or Public Sector Undertakings or Private Sector Companies or Private Sector or Public sector Banks or Autonomous Bodies in one or more of the following areas:
  • Windows Server
  • Administration
  •  LINUX/ UNIX
  • Java
  • Internet & Web Technologies
  • ABAP
  • Network Administration
  • ERP/SAP.

Age Limit ( As on 05 September 2023 ): 30 years i.e. applicants should be born on or after 06 September 1993

Age Relaxation:

• The upper age limit is relaxable by 3 years for OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) candidates and 5 years for SC/ST candidates in posts reserved for them.
• The upper age limit shall be relaxable for Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD) & Ex-servicemen as per Government of India guidelines subject to a maximum age of 45 years.

Selection Process

• The method of selection shall be through Objective Type Test and Personal Interview.
• The marks shall be assigned to the following parameters for the final selection.
• The objective type test shall be held in Mumbai or at any place in Maharashtra as decided by CMSRU.
• The allocation of examination centers shall be at the sole discretion of CMSRU.
• The Objective Type Test shall be of 60 Minutes duration comprising 50 Multiple Choice Questions in the areas of General knowledge (10 marks) and Subject Based (40 marks).
• Each question carries one mark and there will be no negative marks.
• Mark lists for each post shall be prepared on the basis of marks secured by candidates in the Objective type test.

Weightage:

• Objective Type Test – 50 marks
• Personal Interview – 20 marks
• Relevant work experience as assessed by the selection committee during interview and presentation – 30 marks
• Total – 100 marks

Application Fees

• Application fee of Rs 700/- (Nonrefundable, plus bank charges extra) should be remitted using the Online payment options.
• Applicants belonging to Scheduled Caste (SC)/ Scheduled Tribe (ST)/ Persons with Benchmark Disability (PwBD) need not pay the application fee.
• They are exempted from payment of the application fee.
