IB Intelligence Bureau Recruitment 2024- The Intelligence Bureau has announced notification for the Assistant Central Intelligence Officer Grade-II/Technical post. Candidates with the qualification of B.E/B.Tech/M.Sc/MCA are eligible for this post. There are 226 openings for this post. Educational Qualification: 

Assistant Central Intelligence Officer Grade-II/Technical – Group ‘C’

Candidates must have achieved qualifying cut-off marks in GATE 2021 or 2022 or 2023 in Electronics & Communication (GATE code: EC) or Computer Science & Information Technology (GATE code:CS) along with

• B.E or B.Tech in the fields of Electronics or Electronics & Telecommunication or Electronics & Communication or Electrical & Electronics or Information Technology or Computer Science or Computer Engineering or Computer Science & Engineering from a Government recognized University/College/Institute. Or
• Master’s Degree in Science, with Electronics or Physics with Electronics or Electronics & Communication or Computer Science; or Master’s Degree in Computer Applications from a Government recognized University/College/Institute.

Age limit (As on 12 January 2024): 18- 27 Years

Age relaxation: 

• Upper age limit is relaxable by 5 years for SC/ST & by 3 years for OBC candidates.
• The age limit is relaxable up to the age of 35 for general candidates upto 40 years of age who have rendered 03 years of regular and continuous service.
• The age limit is relaxable up to the age of 35 years for general candidates and up to 40 years for SC/ST in case of widows, divorced women, arid women judicially separated from melt husbands and not remarried
• The age limit is relaxable for ex-servicemen as well as for the children & dependents of victims Of communal riots of 2002 in Gujarat & Sikh riots of 1984 as per the Govt instructions in this regard issued by the Central Government from time to time
• The age limit is relaxable up to a maximum of 05 years to the meritorious sports persons specified in Pala 1 (at of DoP& AR O.M. No 1401511/76-Ese.(0). cad 4.8.1980. The candidate claiming age relaxation in this category must have the desired certificate in the form & from the authority prescribed OM under reference

Salary: Level 7 (R5.44,900-1,42,400) in the pay matrix plus admissible Central Govt allowances.

On Initial appointment, the following pay and allowances is admissible:

• Basic Pay – Rs. 44900/-
• DA (@46% of basic pay as on date) – Rs. 20,654/-
• SSA (20% of basic pay) — Rs. 8,980/-
• HRA (ranging from 9% to 27% of basic pay, depending upon the classification of of posting) – X (27%), Y (18%) & Z (9%)
• Transport Allowance — Higher TPTA cities (Rs. 3600/- + DA on 3600) & Other places (Rs. 1800/- + DA on 1800)
• Government contribution towards NPS (@14%)- Rs. 6,286/-

Selection Process of Intelligence Bureau Jobs:

• Candidates (10 times the number of vacancies) will be shortlisted on the basis of GATE score card (qualifying cut-off marks) of 2021 or 2022 or 2023 and will be called directly for the Interview.
• The interview is aimed to assess the candidate’s traits on two parameters i.e. Subject knowledge in relevant fields & Communication skills.
• The final merit list will be prepared on the basis of candidates combined marks obtained in Gate Examination as well as in Interview.
• Candidates appearing in interviews will be required to appear in a Psychometric/Aptitude test, which will be a part of the Interview process.
